Golden Winners

Each half term each teacher nominates a child to receive a ‘Golden Award’. This could be for a particularly good piece of work, for being a good role model and friend to others, for making extra efforts in their work, or simply for demonstrating our school values throughout their behaviour.

A special assembly is held to which friends and family of the nominated children are invited to attend, and they are presented with a Golden certificate and sticker. Their names are written in the ‘Golden Book’. Their special work is then displayed on the Golden Wall in the Head teacher’s office for the rest of the half term.

Year 6 Home Learning Competition – The Lighthouse

The Year 6 teachers would like to say a huge well done to all of the children who entered the Home Learning Competition, which related to the short animation called ‘The Lighthouse’.  They were asked to be creative in the way that they retold and presented the story – ensuring that they used fabulous vocabulary and evidence from the Year 6 writing checklist. It was so difficult to judge the competition as so many children sent in such unique pieces of work. The winning entries were from Ben in 6K & Jack in 6G. Well done to you both! Their work is showcased here:  The Lighthouse By Ben   The Light House By...
